enjoying my DC so much...i think i might pick up an N64

any advice from the peanut gallery?

fair price for the system?

what are the "must have games" and fair prices for them?

Hey, why not. The N64 never received a Metroid game, but the two Zelda games are very solid and you can't go wrong with Super Mario 64.

It's been a while since my N64 had any significant usage, but a few games I recommend...

Blast Corps.
The two Zelda's
Super Mario 64
Goldeneye
Conker's Bad Fur Day

+ plus some more I can't think of.

It seems to take longer for the cartridges to drop in price than the CD-based games for other systems. I haven't seen any "classic" N64 games going for $19.99 like you could find for the Playstation. Buying the games used may be your best bet.

Perfect Dark = must have

It was only $10 at Kbkids before Christmas...I'm not sure about now, however.

Donkey Kong 64 and the Banjo games were great if you like platformers.

Well I was thinking along the same lines and went to Toysrus a few days ago to see if they still had any of those N64 Pikachu bundle consoles for $49 (Nov 01). The B&M had a wall full of them but at $199 and I see Amazon has them for $99

Chess....I definitely recommend you purchasing. I'd say snag a used 64, or get one of the Wally Mart specials at 69.99. Then pick yourself up Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Tennis, and Mario Kart, and you are set. There are other good games too, but those will probably consume all of your available time. Enjoy!

I've been tryinh to sell my N64 bundle. I comes with 3 controllers, 1 rumble pack, 1 memory card, 1 expansion pack, and 7 games:

Mario 64
Turok
Turok 2
Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Gold)
1080
Banjo Kazooie
Goldeneye.

All games (except for Goldeneye), and system, come with boxes and instructions and are in excellent condition.
I'm looking to sell all for $120.

I'm on the good trader list

I may seriously be in the minority here, but I think that the N64 is the greatest gaming console there is (although not as many classics as the original NES). The games, although cartridge, rocked, the controller is the best that I've ever played with to this day, and the library is amazing. The two Zelda games and Mario 64 stand in the top 10 games of all time, easy, in my opinion. Perfect Dark and Goldeneye could not have been any better. I know no one else agrees, but the original Kobe Bryant and Kobe Bryant 2 games are the best basketball games ever made, in my opinion. Resident Evil 2 for the N64 is the best version I've ever played as well, even better than the DC version (due to "Mario 64 style control"). Doom 64 (best Doom ever, and MY favorite FPS), Wave Race, Conker, Donkey Kong, the original Smash Brothers... you just have to pick this system up!

The first Star Wars game was cool. And my personal favorite, Robotron 64!

Paper Mario is a great game, but I loved the Zelda games. Mario Party games are also pretty fun.

To anyone looking, I was at Funcoland today and I saw they had used N64's for 29.99 and factory refurbished ones for 49.99. Good luck all!
Edit-They also had a bunch of new Dreamcasts for 59.99(why 10 dollars more than MSRP is beyond me).

I'm curious as to why enjoying your DC so much has anything to do with buying an N64?

it was just a correlation between them both being cheap now and there being a lot of good games for both that i missed out on.

mee2 YGM...well when i get a second anyway.
