Acceptability of Photocopy of Proof-of-Purchase

Has anyone successfully used a photocopy of the Proof-of-Purchase Tab in-lieu of the real Tab in submission for bonus disc, rebate, etc.? I'd like to avoid ruining the DVD's backcover, or (even worse) booklet (e.g., as in JP3), if possible.

Thanks.

i did this with some disney dvds for a 5 dollar rebate. i got the rebate with no trouble. i think maybe it was because they didn't even know it was photocopied. just to be sure, when you affix the the photocopied UPCs, put tape over the entire thing so that why they won't bother to peel it off. hope this helps

Photocopies of Disney PoP's are hard to tell from the original, once entirely taped over to the request form (Disney usually instructs you to tape them to the form).
