I heard that GTA3 is discontinued, is it. They still adevtise it on TV. Also it has been the best selling game since it has been out. So why would they discontinue it.

I think it is just a rumor.
Wal Mart here in the bible belt still carries it... I really don't think there is much of an uproar about it outside of the video gaming community.

I just picked it up last night at Target (finally broke down and bought it).
It's been selling like hot cakes, so it may not be in stock at all the places that sell it.

It is just in short supply. It hasn't been banned or anything like that. I bought my copy the other day. Just keep checking you local stores they will eventually get some.

Soon enough the mass media will realize that this game is horrific, even though I personally love it. It shouldn't be played by anyone under 15 IMO, and I'm sure something will come out about this game.
It's selling the best of any other title out there today, so I'd say it'll be here for a while. But eBay on the other hand has tons of auctions for GTA3 saying the game is BANNED and DISCONTINUED everywhere...total BS

Hmm went to the local EB on the 24th - they had a ton of copies so I picked one up. Have yet to play it though.

The people on eBay who say that it is discontinued or banned are just trying to make the game even more attractive to unknowing potential buyers, but it is not discontinued. It may be a little hard to find since it is a hot seller.

They are all over the place here. Wal-Mart probably has 20 copies alone.
Buy:
