DVD-Audio Set-up Help Needed
Hi folks,
I just got a new Pioneer DVD-646A DVD-A player. My amplifier
is a Sony 32-bit DA-555ES Surround Amp (Dolby Digital/DTS).
I can't get the amplifier to recognize surround mode when
the deck is playing a DVD-Audio disc. I've got the player
set correctly, and I always choose the 5.1 DVD-A mix from
the disc. The audio is hooked up through the digital out
jack.
Can someone help me figure out what to do?
Thanks

You need the multi channel 5.1 to get DVD-Audio. With the digital output, you can only get DTS and DD if the dvd-audio disc carried other formats. I replied to your message in the music forum.

Please don't post the same topic in multiple forums.
Rather than posting a new thread in a different forum, your best bet would be to e-mail a moderator (or use the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of the thread you want to be moved).
Anyhow, your question is answered here and even more completely in your first thread, so I'm closing this one.
Good luck!
