Review wanted: JFK

I'm wondering if this is worth buying, having not seen it since its theatrical release. I'm talking the Oliver Stone Collection release, by the way. How's the extra disc? How about the director's commentary?

The Oliver Stone Collection DVD release of JFK is a must-own, IMHO. The second disc has approx. 45 minutes of deleted scenes with optional audio commentary, plus a couple of pretty interesting featurettes and the original theatrical trailer. Not too shabby.

The movie is the best of the decade (again IMHO), and the director's commentary is terrific. Definately pick this one up if you have the chance. The only down-side is the packaging which contains disc two in a sleeve inside a pocket of Warner's standard 'snapper' case.

You have to get this movie, it will blow you away (especially if you're into politics and history). As for the second disc, just store in an empty keepcase.

Here's my review of the JFK director's cut. It's a very good disc.

Just try and not get too pissed of at WB for including the 2nd disc in a paper envelope in a pocket of the front cover and you'll love the disc just fine.

It's a must-own title as previously stated. Ollie is crazy but he makes magnificent films.

Definately worth owning. It's one of the best movies that I've gotten for under $10
