I recently had to move my DVD player over to coaxial to make room for my PS2 and Xbox to be on Optical. Right now, I use the red input from an analog audio inputs. The sound seems to be passing through and it says the DTS sound is working. I was just wondering if this is giving me the optimal sound or if something is being lost by just using these analog inputs. Do I need the real coaxial inputs from like an audio store. THanks for the help

You should be using a 75ohm cable for that connection. I doubt the cable you are using is.

what is a 75 OHM cable? Where do I get one? This cable I am using now hooks right in like it should go there but I am just not sure if the sound is the best it could be.

It is simply an RCA connector just like the one you are using but it is rated at 75ohms. You can get one at any store that sells audio cable.

Any video cable that has those yellow RCA plug ends is 75ohm and will do the trick.
