Marantz SR4200
The Marantz SR4200 won a Best of the Year award from British "What Video & HiFi" - Specs look good and seems to combine good video and good music. I would welcome input from anyone with knowledge or experience of the marantz

excellent product line.
I've listened to the older models 4000/5000/7000/8000, and was VERY impressed. The added features in the x200 lines really up the ante.
IMO, you can't really go wrong with one of their receivers.
I have one of their cd decks (CC-4000) and have been extremely pleased with the purchase.

I've had good luck with www.reliableaudiovideo.com . They don't have the 4200 listed yet (you may want to call them), but they have the 5200 for $390 I think.

I was looking into a 6200 but ended up not buying a Marantz. I started to read some bad press about the *200 line. Even Sound & Vision magazine, whom rarely says anything bad about any product for fear of upsetting their advertisers, noted that their test 7200 suffered from higher noise levels than "normal" and a lack of bass from the subwoofer output. I believe they noted that even though the subwoofer channel was adjustable to +10 dB, they did not measure a difference after +3. I may be wrong on the exact numbers, but I just want to bring it up. I also checked out user reviews on www.audioreview.com and the reviews there of the *200 line fall far below those of the *000 line. From what I've read and heard, the *000 line sounds much better than the *200 line. For you Marantz lovers, I am not bashing the product, I'm just trying to point out something that may want to be looked into before purchasing. Plus, it seems that no one who has responded yet actually owns a *200 line (but everyone who has loves their *000 line). Oh, and for the record, I own a Marantz CC-65se CD changer and absolutely love it!
