Another player recommendation please...
Ok, i'm looking to replace my 3-year-old Pioneer DV-414 with a new DVD player and i wanted some recommendations. The criteria are:
1. true progressive scan
2. prefer just single-disc or two-disc (no carousel)
3. minimal or no bugs (chroma bug, etc)
4. around or under $300
Also, a big plus would be the ability to play all regions, but that's not a high priority. My DV-414 has served me very well, but there are a couple of the things i dislike about it which i would like to lose in the next player. One thing is that the spinning disc is really loud...almost distracting during quiet moments in movies. Another is the awkward forward and reverse scanning (if you have a 414 you know what i'm talking about). And it seems to pause longer on layer changes than some other players i've seen. so improvement on those features is also important. any suggestions? thanks in advance.
