A question about the registration card you send in from the PS2.
Instead of waiting for the PS2 I won in an auction to arrive (it's taking forever), I went ahead and picked up one at Circuit City along with the newest 'Underground' demo disc.
I also sent in the registration card that came with the PS2 that promises a free demo disc. Is this demo disc the same as the one purchased in stores? Also, if you send the card in do they send you new demo discs as they come out?

Similar, not sure if they are exactly the same as the seasonal Jampack demos.
I'm not sure what they send out now, but when I sent mine in last year I got Demo Disc Version 2.1 -- with SSX, Madden 2001, etc.
I have gotten additional demo discs sent to me in the past year as well:
• Version 2.2 -- with SW Starfighter, Zone of Enders, Red Faction, etc., and just the other day
• The Playstation Underground Holiday 2001 demo -- with FFX, etc.
The demo discs usually come in thin cardboard sleeves -- save for the Underground disc which was in a plastic, cd sleeve.

Regardless, the Holiday 2001 demo I was refering to came -- in last Saturday's mail -- bundled inside a mini, product catalog that was half PSX games, half PS2 games...

Yes, I just received that mailing yesterday. With the packaging, it's hard to tell if that's from Underground, or what. You might want to think about the Official PS mag. They are now sending out demo discs with each copy, alternating PS1 and PS2.
