Problem with philips HTIB

I decided to buy a Philips MX1015D HTIB and it sounds and looks great ,except when I play a DVD movie the screen flickers whenever there is a bright flash or explosion. Its quite annoying. Any suggestions to why it does this.

I'm wondering why you think it has anything to do with your HTB. It sounds like a dvd player/tv interaction problem, or a specific problem with your player or tv.

I thought that particular HTiB was one with the DVD player built in to the receiver...which would explain the question. But I may be wrong, not sure.

The DVD is built right into the receiver. I have a Sony DVD player that I have no problems with. Maybe I'll use that DVD player instead. I still don't understand why it does that.

That makes sense.

Sorry for jumping to conclusions.

If you use your other dvd player and still have the same problems, then at least you know the problem is with your tv.
