Dream Theater - The Glass Prison

14 minutes of WOAH!

Get your hands on it if at all possible. It's heavy, it's fast, it's great.

(This is the first track off the 2 CD album, "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence", due for release on January 29th.)

I didn't know DT had another disc coming out. I haven't even picked up the the live 3 disc set from September yet. I better get to it.

the live CD rocks...as does the DVD of the shows.

well worth the cost of admission.

...as an aside:
I'm glad Jordan Rudess joined up. Their music has taken a significant turn for the better since Sherinian left. He's a great keyboardist, but just didn't fit in with the rest of the band.

I have the Metropolis DVD which I really enjoy. DT was the last really good live show I've seen. They play The House of Blues here in L.A. every year it seems. Always a good show.

According to Portnoy, it's 5 tracks on the first CD and the 40 minute title track on the second. And if The Glass Prison is indictative of the rest of the album, this may be my favorite since Awake.

Where did you get it? I just checked Limewire and no one has it up yet. Any other suggestions?

A friend sent it to me. I'd offer to send it to you, but I don't think Geoff wants music being trafficked through his site.

I believe this is available for preorder at Amazon now..BTW Portnoy and some die hards posted some fake versions of the songs so who knows what the real songs sound like. Soon though, samples from the Elektra site will be coming. Jan 29th can't get here any sooner!

the new live album is fantastic. Much better, IMO, than the previous live disc. (especially James' voice)
