HDTV Tuner Card
I'm thinking about buying an HDTV tuner card and installing it in my PC. Then output the HDTV signal to my TV set. This would be a low cost system for watching HDTV. Has anyone tried the Hauppauge WinTV-D HDTV tuner? If so, what do you think about it? Used ones sell on eBay for around $100-$160. It would save me a lot more than buying an HDTV tuner box for my TV set; I've seen the HDTV tuners sell for $600+ on eBay. Also, are there any other cheap HDTV tuner cards besides the WinTV-D?

There are several HDTV cards and each has advantages and disadvantages. The best discussion of them I see is at AVS Forum in the Home Theater Computer Forum http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forum...?s=&forumid=26
Poke around there a bit for some good info. Pay attention to the recording ability and proprietary formats.
