Hi

I'd like to replace the center speaker on my Kenwood HTB-503 as cheaply as possible. I was looking at the JBL N-Center (for $93 new) but someone told me I would have to find a center channel that matches the rest of my speakers, otherwise it will sound bad. Is there somewhere I can find information on what center speakers will 'match' my HTIB? TIA

What kind of front speakers do you currently have?

The PSB Center channel is good and cheap for $129 at SoundCity (http://www.soundcity.com/bin/product.php?product_id=418) .

The center channel was a problem on the HTB-503 that was fixed in the HTB-504. If you have no intentions of upgrading your other speakers your best bet is probably to see if you can get a hold of the center speaker from the HTB-504 somewhere.
Another option would be to move the front speakers from your system to surrounds and getting a new set of matched fronts and a center. Matching your surrounds to your other speakers is a lot less important then matching a center to your mains.
