Is new Pet Shop Boys DVD chopped up like old Alannis DVD?
I was considering picking up the new PSB DVD, Montage, at Borders but was a little disturbed by the description on the back. It talked about the disc being a montage (hence the title) of footage from several concerts from the Nightlife tour.
This brought back memories of the huge complaints about Alannis Morrissette's Jagged Little Pill:Live DVD, which I don't own but I know that pretty much everyone who bought it hated the presentation. The Alannis disc would skip mid-song from one concert to another or to video or to an acoustic version. The complaints were obviously loud b/c I still remember them even though it's gotta be at least a year.
I hope PSB's new disc isn't that way, but wanted to be sure before I bought. I've looked at some reviews but none of them make it clear exactly how much of a montage Montage is, and I'd love some feedback from anyone here. TIA.
And please no "Pet Shop Boys suck!" comments. We all know that everything you like is wonderful and we strive to imitate your tastes but some of us are failures. So sorry.

It does jump around alot, but you probably won't notice, because of all the swirling super-imposed images. This disc is busy; it's like watching a wild screensaver. It reminds me of the other Pet Shop Boys concert DVDs however. I guess the music is the important thing. The songs are arranged and presented differently than the actual recordings. The performances rely on the projected visuals and some of the costuming. It's quite an experience. Check out other peoples' reviews at retailer sites.
