Gamecube hunting question

Ok I know I will probably not find one, but tomorrow I am getting up early and going hunting. I want a jet black one, Batman vengence game, and a memory card. Now, where can I buy that? I mean, where can I buy the system without having to buy some bundle with Luigi's Mansion and like the football game. All I want is those three things.

I am most def. hiting Toys R US, Wal-Mart, and Target.

Did a hunt the other day, on tuesday... Only found one in the whole town. Your bes bet is to call ahead and have a clerk hold on to one for you. Cause the frustration of driving to all these places and seeing empty shelves will overwhelm you by your third stop. Chances are you've waited till the worst time to buy one. The First day rush has already taken all teh first shipments, and adding Black Friday into the mix doesn't help.

Good Luck.

Circuit City was selling them unbundled.

But you may want to look around and read some reviews on Batman, I had it for the PS2 and was highly disatisfied with the game, Ended up selling it within 2 weeks of getting in on Half.com.

It will probably be tough finding one right now, Nintendo just announced that they have already sold all of the 700,000 launch units. However, on a postive note, they also announced they are going to be shipping an additional 200,000 units to the U.S. before the end of the year. This is added on to the 400,000 they were already planning to ship, bringing the number of US game cubes before the end of 2001 to 1.3 million up from the original 1.1 million. So you should be able to get ahold of one in the coming weeks.

This info comes from cube.ign.com.

About the Batman game ...
Really? I haveheard good things... especially about the 40 minutes of cinematics that use the original voice actors from the series. I dont know if those are on the PS2, but are on theGamecube for sure. They also said that it does some other stuff that only the GC could do or something.

I am still going out tomorrow, I have to get other stuff as well. Yesterday I was out and places had X-Boxes but no Gamecubes. So, I guess the Gamecube is more popular ? Maybe just in my area.

Well I was in line at Toys R US, they let us in, got hit with a few shopping carts... and... no Game cubes. They had X-Boxes though. So, I picked up Batman: Vengence anyway. Then I headed over to KB Toys since Target was not open yet. KB had about a thosand people in that tiny store - BUT - they had Game cubes! So I waited about 15 minutes in line and picked up a black one ($229! i was ticked! oh well should have known, KB is always expensive) and a memory card.

Just did the first level on Batman and the training thing - awesome game!

I was in Super Kmart on Thanksgiving Eve, and they had probably 20 of them stacked up on display. Hopefully I'm getting a Dreamcast for Christmas. I played Waverace on the Gamecube and didn't see the big difference over the N64 version, and that was the game that made me want the system.

The local K-Mart and our Super K and all three wal-marts had no cubes on Thanksgiving Eve. The only game I really want to play is Batman Vengence and since it comes on PS2, X, and GC, really, the GC was the cheapest. Plus, I have never bought any other system except for Nintendo products so I figured Gamecube was the way for me.

We did have a Sega, but that was my sister's. I am glad Sonic is coming over to Gamecube!
