I will be buying the original Resident Evil for the FOURTH time next year (original release, dir. cut, dual shock dir. cut, GC version). I am not looking forward to Metroid at all. I LOVED Super Metroid, and the GC Matroid in it's FPS form is NOT the metroid as I know and love (just like the N64 Zelda's are not the Zelda's I know and love. Thank goodness for the GBC\A). To answer the question:

1) Resident Evil Series
2) Donkey Kong Racing
3) Legend of Zelda
4) Starfox: insert name here
5) Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4

In defense of Metroid, The game is being re-tooled and won't be exclusively first person. There will be a combination of both 3rd and 1st person.

I do agree with you though that if the game is not redesigned, i would be very dissapointed. The Metroid series is one of my favorites of all time. I'd hate to see it ruined.

Oh.. and I CAN'T wait for Smash Bros.!

A while back, like when the Gamecube was first announced, there were some screens for the next Zelda game that looked pretty cool. But apparently, they've decided to go with a cell based animation look for the next Zelda? Another guy just pointed this out to me today, and I took a look at some screengrabs from it... I must say, it looks rather... wierd... and ugly. What's up with that?

I've never had a console, but am pretty sure I'll get one of the new ones... the price of the Gamecube is pretty attractive, but I'll probably end up with a PS2 or Xbox.

My most-wanted 2002 GC game is definitely the new Mario game. I'm also looking forward to Perfect Dark 2, Soul Calibur 2, Star Fox Adventures, and the new Harvest Moon.

If all goes well, I'll probably never buy another game after Super Smash Bros. Melee.
