Ecount CC problem w/Amazon

I tried using my Ecount.com debit Mastercard at Amazon but it was repeatedly rejected. I contacted Amazon to check why, since I'd used it there previously without problem. Amazon CS dept. referred me to Ecount. The Ecount rep said that they had billing troubles with Amazon and had temporarily withdrawn support for Amazon.com as a result. I'm going to suspend ordering from them until this matter is cleared up.

Does anyone know if this is related to Amazon's financial position? Should I dump my remaining Amazon shares... and how long will this overhang their shares.

This probably means that Ecount has received many charge disputes on Amazon charges lately. Every credit card company suspends their support for any merchant if a certain number of disputes has been received. They do this to protect their customers from fraud.

It might well be that this is related to the overcharge problem discussed in the other thread. Maybe a lot of Ecount customers just disputed the overcharge instead of getting through the hassle of obtaining a refund from Amazon.
