Bugs in Soul Reaver 2 (ps2)!?
I was watching one of my roommates play Soul Reaver 2 on his PS2 last night, and in the space of two hours of play, he managed to find two bugs!
First, and most annoying, was what appears to be a clipping problem. Shortly after beginning the game, but after about twenty minutes of un-skippable cut scenes, he managed to push his way through a gate into the "reaver sword" room - in the spectral realm. He didn't really do the normal "push through" animation, just ran at the door and slashed with the reaver, and got sort of shoved through to the other side in a split second. There was no way out, and no way back to the physical realm, so he had to restart.
The second was less spectacular, but still an error. In the swamp dungeon - the first you approach in the game - he got near one of those pedastal/forge thingies. It instructed him with the white text at the top on how to light his sword by putting it in the dark flame. That's all fine and good, except he hadn't activated the dark forge yet. It was an empty pedestal.
Add that to the intense framerate drop in many, many areas - even during several scripted scenes! - and you have a game that, even with the delays, was not ready to be released.
Anyone found any other bugs, or seen these mentioned in a review? The game is still fun, don't get me wrong, but stuff like this should have been caught in even the simplest playtesting.

I really liked SOUL REAVER on DC and I was really looking forward to this new game.
I hope this is something that will get attention before I buy it.

He managed another one earlier today. Switched into the spectral realm as he picked up an axe, and he took it with him to the other side. It was really weird to see him smacking those ghosty hunchback thingies with a weapon instead of the reaver.
When he dropped it, it froze and became unusable, just like weapons in the physical realm usually do when you're in the spectral. But it was fun while it lasted.
