If it works it sound like a good deal to me. It's certainly one of the cheapest prices I've seen for one of those things. Of course, I don't know what they generally run for refurbished.

For anyone who's thinking about it... DO NOT BUY THIS! It's a refurbished piece of crap! Believe me, I bought a refurbished PDV-LC10 and it was a nightmare. You have no idea what to expect. Mine had about 20 dead pixels! Sorry X, but tis the truth...

No problem. I just don't want anyone else have to go through that. Online, you can find BRAND NEW players for like $20 more anyway.

Don't know if a smaller screen would be ok for whoever is looking, nor do I know anything about the quality. But - a local retailer (Audio King) here in MN is selling a Panasonic portable with a 5" 16:9 display for $499, and right now it's at 10% off of that. New in the box, not refurbed.
