Rogue Leader to go on sale Nov. 7
Maybe the GC will come out early too, but I doubt, some GBA games sold before launch but not GBA's.
from cube.ign.com:
Rogue Leader Flies Early
LucasArts to make its flagship GameCube title available in early November. Full story.
October 25, 2001
Publisher LucasArts told IGNcube today that its forthcoming GameCube action-shooter Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2 is finished and will actually ship early. The game, which has been unofficially touted as the console's flagship offering, will go on sale beginning November 7 at retailers across the US, the company said.
Star Wars Rogue Leader is a space and land based 3D shooter in which players pilot various franchise ships as Jedi hero Luke Skywalker. The game pits players in scenes from the trilogy of movies including the battle of Hoth, flights over Bespin, an action-packed flight through the trenches of the Death Star and more. Rogue Leader's visual finesse has already earned it a reputation as one of the prettiest games on any of the next-generation consoles.
Import GameCube owners who have figured out how to modify the system to play US software are definitely in store for a treat. For the rest, the fact that the title will be available early is at least proof enough that there needn't be any worries about a delay.

I wonder if that means that people who pre ordered it in their EB bundle will be allowed to pick it up early (i dunno why? you can't play it or anything yet)
But, last night I received an email from the nintendo power mailing list and it has the release date as Nov. 5? I am assuming this is out of date but it seems to me that they have had plenty of time to correct the release date on their mailings, especially one that was typed up probably in the last couple of days.

Nintendo made it a point last week to say half the 700K units are already in the US and the others would arrive very soon. I wonder if they are planning on releasing a few days early to steal some of the X-box thunder. The 18th is a Sunday, the the 15th when X-Box launches, they would be more than ready to launch then!
