Just a possible word of caution: I placed an order a couple hours ago for two games and a horizontal stand. With both coupons, the total came out to be $53.46. The stand is now listed to ship soon, but on the order page says the following:
$53.46 - Total for 2 games
$0.00 - Total for stand
$77.93 - Order total
I don't know how this is going to turn out, but I hope I don't end up with a partial shipment and an overcharge of $24.

I dont' think i'll have to dispute the charges. Amazon is the wuss on the playground.
I'll call then and simply explain there are two options:
-Credit my card back for the 14.00 they overcharged me. OR
-They can Spend 12-16 dollars on 2 prepaid return labels, so i can send these two shipments back to them, getting all my money back, they'll lose a customer (bluff) and waste even more of the man power and time than if they had just charged me correctly the first time.
I think they'll just give me 14 :)

I am confused with this one.
If I order metal Gear solid, a verticle stand, and a remote, Then I only end up paying for the stand and remote b using the coupon code.
price of game + P of stand + P of remote - coupon value (50)=
price of stand and remote.
Did any of this make sence. I'm too tired.
If this works out ok I think I wil get MGS 2 a new dvd remote and a verticle stand.

The dvd remote doesn't count on the offer, at least not when i tried it. The stands for some reason are listed as software and not accesories, and thats why they work.

In theory, yes. But as the orders are getting ready for shipment, a few of us here, and a few people on the IGN boards are noticing there orders are being charged for more than what they were placed at. So proceed with caution.
But yes you're right. I managed to get nascar thunder, and two stands for the price of two stands. Whether or not they'll ship at that price is yet to be seen.

While every one of us would interpret the coupon that way, for reasons unknown, the website does not. It interprets the coupon to be $49.99 off the order. I ordered MGS2, 007, and the Jampack using both the tru coupon and the $10/$75 couopn and got it all for $55 shipped. It's a hell of a deal.

Well, I did a couple orders, but they're all completely screwy. Here's one example:
Here's my email confirmation of my order from last night for 2 horizontal stands and Soul Reaver 2, which is a preorder:
So somehow, -$4.52+$0.00=$40.92?
The other odd thing is that even though I marked as "ship entire order together", my stands are listed as shipping soon, cannot be cancelled.
For one of the orders I had placed for something that wasn't a preorder, I didn't get any type of discount at all, and so my total for the game and 2 stands was $76 or so.
So, it looks like I'm going to get to call Amazon a few times and try to get them to just charge me the $15, or I cancel multiple orders. Unless I check my CC and they charge me the right amount. Anyone have much experience with browbeating Amazon reps? :)

....I really want Devil May Cry and MGS2.....but not sure if I want to risk it.
I *almost* went for this deal when it was posted ordering the 2 stands and a game, but I have a feeling that the stands and jumppak were counted as games in the coupon database when they shouldn't have been. Seeing how people are getting charged more now (the actual amount) or some screwy number means they tons of people must be ordering from them and they figured out that they made a mistake in the coupon. This sucks though, I'm guessing if you got in early enough you might get your stuff, otherwise its probably messed up. :(

Yes, AFAIK. I got MGS2, 007, and DMC... I chose the "ship as available" option, and it cost me ~$108.

never call on a deal until they ship it out. as long as you get a confirmation of your order showing the correct price wait and do nothing. when your order ships if they charge you the wrong price then call and dispute the bill with them. if they do not adjust it(they will since you have a receipt) dispute it with your credit card company. then they lose anyway and of course you win :)

MY DMC ordered Friday in a legit deal shipped this morning.
The Horizontal stand is currently #1 on amazon's sales list. Up 2772%. Being part of this deal was the only chance they ever had to sell this stand. It basically serves no purpose.

Oddly, the Jampack is a preorder, but is now being show as out of stock :) I think we're busted.

Amazon uses many warehouses, and soemtimes has to ship from more than one location. My experience has ussually been that they ship things out ASAP anyway, not waiting for the preorder. if you have to return things, call their CS department and ask for return mailing labels.

So. . . What has Amazon said? Nobody has yet posted the results of contacting customer service. I'd like to know the results before I place another order. I guess the coupon is good through the end of the week, right?
I think amazon needs to get these mess worked out quickly. If they are not going to honor the orders that have been placed, they should just send an email to the buyers and let them know the options. The buyers can then decided to cancel or change their order to comply with their rules.
It would be very unfortunate if orders go uncorrected in the shipping process as to make it impossible to cancel, OR improper amounts are charged without authorization, OR orders are cancelled without contact, etc. Amazon need to get going on this!

If you order two $9.99 stands, and get the game for free, you're basically getting the game for $30 off, since you have to pay for the stands anyway. But if you order three games, then you get the game for $50 off! It ends up being a better deal, if you were going to buy two other games anyway. I'm just not sure why people would waste a coupon on something they don't want.

If you ordered the Jampack which you cannot as it is listed as out of stock now.......and used the promotion along with the $10.00 code...you did not pay for the jampack anyway!!! Basically...you were getting two PS2 games for around $27.00 per game. :)

Well they way it works out is that you buy two stands and a new game. The coupons basically add up -$59.99 (if you use both coupons) and this adds up to you getting a brand new game for some like $16.00 bucks. Thats if amazon doesn't reneg on the coupon deal, which it appears they might. I ordered Batman Vengeance and two stands, and my total came out to rougly $16. I received the confirmation email from amazon at that price, and then I check my account this morning, and it says I owe them $74. I sent them an email, I will post any reply I get.Its not the years, its the mileage.

But if you want three games anyway (and frankly, who wouldn't, with Metal Gear Solid 2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and SSX Tricky coming out), buying three actual games is the better deal.

Well, if you really want to work the system, you set up three seperate accounts with Amazon and pay $16 bucks a game and order the three seperate games. Yeah, you will bet some things you don't want, but if the coupon works, you will still only pay $16 a game. I guess maybe that is abusing the system a little, but it could be done.

I also use the $10 of $50 coupon, so my order comes to about $104 with tax and shipping. However, when I checked my order later, the get one free coupon had been removed and now my order is $163! I e-mailed them about this, but they have yet to return my message.

I ordered a couple games through this(WWF, SSX, MGS2). Because I put SSX(the orginal) in my cart second, I should be getting MGS2 free(relatively speaking). Just to let everyone know, Amazon sent me an email today stating that they shipped SSX today at no additional costs, which I thought was a pretty nice gesture.
But of course, my billing info is all screwed up like everyone elses:

Both of my orders have messed up order totals but it looks like I'm going to be charged the right price. I ordered 4 games total (3 are pre-orders) and two jam-packs. The only already released game I ordered (Devil May Cry) shipped today with no charge to my credit card all that's left is to charge me for the remaining game and the jampack (although the jampack is covered by the $10 coupon). Amazon has always had problems with figuring out what to put on the final order page when they screw up but I've never had them charge me more without asking first.

Ordered 2 games and a Jam Pack on Sunday. Got the games today. On receipt, it stated my total as $105.46. But the Balance Due is $0.00 I was only charged $55.47 I didn't use the $10 off coupon. For people who are worry about getting overcharge, don't worry. The total price or the "Grand total" that you see on the order site is what you would have paid without the coupon code. I stopped counting once I hit 60 or so. I wouldn't be surprised if I've gotten another 30 or 40 though. I think they're coming in at about 5 or 10 per hour.

Ok I'm getting pretty pissed off here! I really want my GTA3 and I just checked my order status:
1 of: Grand Theft Auto 3 [CD-ROM]
Rockstar Games $49.99
- Availability: 1 in stock in 3-5 weeks
Delivery estimate: November 15 - December 5
3-5 weeks!!! Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what's going on. I don't want to get GTA 3 after I get both Capcom vs. SNK and 007. Hopefully it is just a glich in thier system and not the fact that so many people ordered.
PS: On a side note I placed an order from B&N about 1.5 months ago and my Carrie: Special Edition finally shipped yesterday. (There were 3 items in the order and the others came within days.)

The TRU/Amazon online promotion was absolutely HUGE. Preorders for all the upcoming "BIG HITS" was probably astronomical. GTA3 came out 1 week before this sale started. They probably didn't have time to correct the shortage they were about to experience. With all the other games I've gotten from this deal, I'm happy with waiting a bit.

Agreed....be patient.....this deal is too good to be true. We will probably not see a deal this good again so enjoy it while you can. If you have to wait a bit.....be patient and enjoy the savings you are experiencing. :)

My order is listed as one on hand as it is with some other titles which will not be released until next month. Guess they are not going to ship separate as they sometimes decide to do on certain orders. :)

Well, I just got my order confirmation for GTA3. My two stands that were part of this order shipped last week, and I got them Friday. The amount paid by Visa that's listed on my shipping notice, though, is $35.44, not the $16.45 listed on my initial order confirmation. I guess i'll just wait until the game gets here and then call up and try to get them to refund the $18.99

Exact same thing happened to me... I called them and they basically said "tough luck". I'm going to call my credit card and dispute the charge as soon as the game arrives.

Do not change your order!
I was tired waiting for two of my games that were in stock to ship so I changed to ship those on had. The system charged me $149.99 instead of $79.98 which I was being charged at first for three games. I went ahead and canceled the order before it shipped.
