I'm building an arcade game pt. 5

Just another update for those that want to see how it is going... I've started on the control panel and so far it is going real well. I'm waiting for the trackball cover plate to be shipped to me so that I can mount it (that's why there is a big square hole in the panel right now). I also need to get some bolts for the joysticks and the t-moulding needs to be put on. Anyway, here is a pic of it so far:

Here is a larger pic that shows the progress of the whole thing so far. This weekend I also added speaker covers, but you can't really see them in the pic:

Anyway, I'll keep the updates coming as I go.

That is sweet man!!

I see you've put some kind of halogen light tube at the very top of the machine(horizontally), are you going to put a lit up logo or picture in there? This cabinet keeps getting better and better each update, nice work!

There will be a marquee that lights up. If I find the time, I may print it out here at work today and see what I can do tonight.

This cabinet keeps getting better and better each update, nice work!
Thanks!

Again, that's an excellent job. The t-moulding really makes it look professional.

I'm not sure if you have the space for it in your cabinet, but it occurs to me that you might get more even lighting of the marquee if you bounced the light off a white reflector rather than shining it directly on the marquee. Or maybe if you got some kind of frosted glass to back the marquee. Or, it might be perfect the way you've got it.

I put the marquee together tonight and cut the plexi for the monitor cover. Neither piece is mounted yet because the marquee mounting moulding is on order. I loosly placed them in their spots for some pictures. Here they are:

The light is one of those 20 watt florescent under cabinet lights, with a white cover over it. It looks pretty good.

That is so sweet. Especially like the picture of the whole basement. Next flight to Chicago, here I come.
