DTS?

Wow the Japanese DVD has the original audio presented in mono only.

Must be a re-mix

It's rumoured for release by the end of this year. The dts track will be mixed in Australia.

R1 5.1 NTSC (no PAL speedup) is due Jan 4, 2001. 5.1 will from the original soundtrack, not the dub (which will be presented as an extra soundtrack).

sadly though no specific date yet.

Thanks for the info.

Here in Holland we have only the Mono track.

I'll wait for the good news.

The good news is that R4 Mad Max is currently planned to have a DTS 5.1 soundtrack.

The bad news is that the tentative release date has apparently slipped to 2002. Currently tentatively listed as January, but probably more likely later in the year. It will be one of a number of DTS soundtracked R4 DVDs from Roadshow, due later this year and in 2002.
