It is supposed to be good except for the Chroma problem which I don't know how to explain and only picky people really notice. I will be buying this player in about 2 or 3 weeks for my Sony XBR TV.

The chroma problem is a basically a bug in the MPEG decoder that makes highly saturated colors "shimmer" and "bleed". This mostly affects reds and blues. It is noticeable, and not just by "picky people". Some DVDs REALLY highlight it, like X-Men (Jean Gray's red dress). These days, I would purchase a player that does NOT have this bug. After all, if you can buy one without it, why not?

I have one and like it alot. I think it was a great value for the money and goes well with my 36XBR400 TV.
