R4 "Raging Bull" 2 Disc Set
Just received my recent release from Australia.
I'm very disappointed in "MGM".
Box clearly says 16:9 & movie is not anamorphic.
Box also states there's aprx. 12 subtitles & only 1.
Sure hope the US release does not pull this crap!
Just thought you guys would like to know, incase
you were planning to buy the R4 release?

That sucks... thanks so much for mentioning this. I was planning on ordering that 2-disc set but now there's no way I will being that it's nonanamorphic.

I own this R4 release (being in Australia), and I must say that it has a beautifully clear image and excellent sound, and I have absolutely no problem with the fact that it is not anamorphic.

It all depends on your TV set's aspect ratio. A non-anamorphic letterbox DVD looks okay on a 4:3 display, but definition and detail suffers on a 16:9 TV.
I for one have a 4:3 TV so I could ignore this problem, but I know I'd regret it the moment I buy a widescreen set -- and I know I will.
