Can Anyone Help??? HK Expert needed...

I'm looking for 2 Hong Hong flicks on DVD... the hard part is I don't know their names, and I need you fine people who know their HK movies to help me.

The first one is probably from the mid-80s or maybe early 1990s. It had vampires that hopped around and they could be stooped by holding up a parchment or sacred scoll to their face.... Does that sound remotely familiar to anyone???

The other one is probably ealry 1990s. It was like a cross between Ghostbusters, The Professional, and about three other movies. I recall one of the characters carried around a plant like Leon in The Professional, and it had plenty of ghosts. Ring any bells?

If so, please e-mail me at: [email protected]. I'm hoping someone knows what I'm talking about and that they exsist on DVD!

Thanks...

Dave

P.S. Does anyone know if "Baby Bomb" is on DVD????

the second one is Out of the Dark (1995). one of Stephen Chiau's lamer films (although there are a few chuckles), not sure it's out on DVD, as neither DDDhouse or Coolashop stock it even on VCD.

Mr. Vampire is a good movie, Out of the Dark is perhaps Stephen Chow's worst movie of them all.

Bomb Disposal Officer (Baby Bom) is not out on DVD, but it's a pretty lame movie IMO.

Blind Romance, starring Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Chingmy Yau. Cute movie.

Here's one I've been trying to identify - not much to go on, though

It's a gambling movie, comedy. I saw it in the early 80's. The scene I remember:
gambler in tux playing cards, struck in the face with those throwing stars.
Broad comedy a la a Wong Jing film. Sorry, that's it.

it wouldn't be Casino Raiders - not close to being a comedy and it came out in 1988.

Gambling movies really only became popular after Casino Raiders/God of Gamblers in 1989. Before that, I could really only think of one movie - Games Gamblers Play. If it weren't for the timing equation, it almost would sound like either Top Bet, where Dodo Cheng (yeah I know she's female) uses cards as a weapon, or City Hunter, where Leon Lai does the same.

It's not Top Bet

I saw that just recently. I picked up Casino Raiders just to see if that might be it
but I haven't watched it yet. I've seen all the GOG films and Games Gamblers Play.
I haven't seen City Hunter.
I wish I could remember more but it was a _long_ time ago. And they were
throwing stars not cards. That's the one thing I can remember, the guy's face with
stars sticking all over his face.

Anyone seen these films, or know if they're available on video?

A Gambler's Story(1980)
Giant of Casino(1981)
Gambler's Delight(1981)
The Gambler's Duel(1981)
The King of Gambler(1981)
The Gambler and his Kung-Fu master(1981)

Thanks.
