I had a grand to spend on a TV about a year ago and I choose a Mitsubishi 40" Tube with stand and I would do it again if I could find another one.

It was used as a demo set for a few years in a high end shop I knew well and I drooled over it for a while, but $4000(retail) wasn't in my budget. When it came up for sale after a few years of minimal use I jumped on it:)

Why exactly did you start two threads on the same exact subject within five hours?

I was posting the question for this dick I work with. He keeps harping me for an answer. I apologize for wasting you valuable time. Next time I will think twice. Thanks for the help

As I said in my post I was familiar with the shop so I knew exactly how much the TV was used.

It was only turned on a few times a day to demo the LD/DVD players the shop sold. So yes it was a demo which had seen very little use over the years.

I actually ended up getting the set for free, but that is another story:)

Fry's had a closeout on a 36" Wega for $999 this week, if I'm correct.

Thanks for the help. A friend asked me to post the question for me. I already have a wonderful 36" VVega. I love it. Highly Recommended. In case you were interested, my friend ended up blowing his wad on a 50" Toshiba 16:9 this weekend. Good for him. Nothing like blowing a budget by twice as much on a new TV. Should be awesome.
