Okay, I've scoured every damn review and hardware site I know of, and I can't even find anything about it on Hitachi's webpage...
I've searched Yahoo, excite, HTF, you name it...
Anyways, I saw this player, a 5 disc changer mind you, at Sams Club for $170, it has DD5.1 outputs on it with an on board decoder, which I could use right now, considering my current stereo only has the inputs for decoded 5.1...
So I picked it up, and I'm on my third one, and I SOMETIMES have problems with the matrix (go figure...) as it sorta freezes for a split second...if I do a reboot, it plays fine. if I stop it and start it again at the same point, I have problems...WEIRD. First two had problems with the sound sync, but I looked at the boxes and picked one without a sequential serial number...so this one is working well, but like I said, has occasional problems
Anyone think this could be the firmware? Any suggestions? And if anyone has seen a review...
