Hi,
I'm looking at putting a "small" home theater in my basement, and I need help selecting a TV. This will be a secondary theater to the one we have in our family room, so I don't want to spend too much on it. Also, due to the layout of our basement, we will be sitting approximately 8 to 10 feet from the TV.
This TV will be used for viewing DVDs and digital cable. I'm looking for something in the 32" to 36" inch range (preferably 36") and priced no more than $1,500 delivered.
I am also trying to decide between a cheaper analog set or a digital one. Right now HDTV is not a big concern for me, because I don't think we will be getting many channels for several years yet.
I'm also undecided on a 4:3 set versus a 16:9. Since we watch quite a bit of cable, I'm afraid a 16:9 set could be a waste. So I'm leaning towards a 4:3 set with enhanced 16:9 capability.
I would appreciate any comments / suggestions.
Thanks!
