I almost fell asleep watching this one for the first time in my life, but that was probably due to the fact that 22 of my old school friends decided on having a film night. We watched 5 films before this one, and when we got to it it was 3:00AM and very bad air in the room. Do not remember too much, but I am getting it in the future, because I have to study it.

It is an excellent film and disc, but there's one problem:

A person's genitals during the John the Baptist (him?) scene are blurred out. This isn't really a "big" deal but all censoring is bad.

I'm not a very religious person at all, I've know nothing about it, so in watching this movie I had no idea what was going on.

THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST.

While the film isn't as epic as Scorcese says he was trying to make it out to be, it does deliver. For people with strong religious beliefs and those without, don't take the film seriously. While it is a serious films, some of the situations in the movie aren't totally based on the bible, but acient interpreations, documents, books, ect. Besides that, the film is very good, and worth seeing, nonetheless buying. William DaFoe really shines in his role as Christ.

MOVIE: 8/10
VIDEO: 9/10
AUDIO: 9/10
EXTRAS: 7.5/10
