Fall of the House of Usher dvd

I picked up the Fall of the House of Usher (1960) at Fryes this weekend and I was impressed with what I saw. The dvd is a fantastic example of how glorious some films can be in widescreen.. and this is one of them because the film is full of beautiful colors, and well staged scenes that fill the screen. MGM has done a pretty good job with this dvd because the film's colors are magnificent and the images are very sharp. There are some occasional white specs and other film abnormalities. Its unforunate that these weren't removed, but the image is still impressive. The sound is in Dolby digital mono, but there are some parts that are surprisingly loud. There is also a theatrical trailer and a Roger Corman audio commentary. All of these elements help to make this dvd a steal for collectors because it is budget priced and it has some great features and a great, beautiful presentation.

I reccommend this for any Vincent Price fan, as well as any Poe fan!
