It wouldn't be all that annoying if you didn't have to listen to it 23 times in a row... every time you pop in a DVD.

I gotta' definitely go with Media Asia...because you have to see it about 5 times per movie.

BUT, let me ask you this: Which is more annoying, the NEW Media Asia (more synths) or the OLD Media Asia (more real instruments, but often out of tune)!?

P.S. Whoever's handle is "Fielding Mellish" is a genius.

For most media asia and universe disc(on my panasonic), you can hit "stop" than "play" to skip the copyright warnings.

Yeah, but even if you skip the copyright part, there's always more Media Asia gigantic spinning "M" crap to wade through...

Then there's...

...always the fun discs like Righting Wrongs where you can actually see both intros on the same disc, thereby making everybody happy

Now all we need is some weird marketing deal whereby Golden Harvest and Media Asia make a movie and then Universe makes/distributes the DVD. Wouldn't that be awesome to be able to see all three intros on the same DVD over, and over again, without being able to skip or fast forward through them?

Actually, almost all the pre-2000 HK Studio intros are unbearable. It would be pretty funny to compile them all onto one sampler, with MST3K-style commentary or something...

The Mei Ah intro is pretty annoying as well. They all seem kinda late 80's US local chain movie theater intro...

The new Universe title is OK (because it isn't a blatant ripoff Universal's). Must agree that the Media Asia titles are a pain in the backside. However, anyone see the Media Asia titles for Visible Secret's? It's in the stylee of X-men http://sensasian.com/cgi-bin/ramgen/...007/V4007_t.rm , but you're probably gonna end up cursing it.

Now after all this slagging. Which titles are the most endearing?
Personally, I find BOB, Win's and Teamworks nice.

Thanks! While I've never had my IQ formally measured, I'm confident your assumption is correct.

Rebels are we. Born to be free. Just like the fish in the sea.
