I was looking at hitachi ultravision (61" i believe), mits diamond (WS55907)65", mits platinum plus 65", and the philips 64PP9751 (if i can find an amazing deal. Any thoughts, reviews. I thought the ultravision picture looked amazing at CC. Is there one I am missing that I should be looking at. Thank you

A friend has an 65" HDTV, 16:9, model 65HDX. Built-in HD tuner and Direct TV sat receiver BUT no component in for DVD, and no outs for anything. Very expensive. Not a good value vis a vi bang for the buck IMHO.

I really love my Mits Platinum (55807) and would recommend it. I believe the Platinum Plus is the same thing with a few additional features that I didn't care about. One of which is a VGA connector.

Give some serious thought to the Toshiba Widescreens also. The 65H80 is going for $2500 online & at Costco. Most Home Theater sites review it as the best bang for the buck & the calibration support is right up there with the Mits.
