One of the best movies I've seen in recent months has been the 1997 Best Picture nominee L.A. Confidential. The DVD even had some decent supplemental materials. Just curious on why nobody thought to review it for the readers of this site.

They did, but they were forced to keep it confidential!
I just slay me! Best of all, I'm here all week!

A couple of weeks ago my wife said she was in the mood for a good murder mystery. I told her I've got the best one in the last 5 years and popped it in. She was not disappointed (and she's a harsh critic). Great film and dvd.

Well, how can I explain my wife to you? She is rarely in the mood for a film in the first place,so when she is ready for a certain kind of movie I have to have it on tap. I've got a special stack of dvds which I think she might enjoy. She's just a very busy lady with no time for all this foolishness (she leaves that to me).
