Didn't see this one in the theater, but I liked "American Pie" and "Loser". However, didn't like movies like "Boys & Girls". Which end of the spectrum does this one fall on? I was considering picking up the R-rated version, but I've read mixed reviews, so I welcome suggestions.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is the worst movie I've seen in 10 years, and is in the top 5 worst movies I've ever seen in my life. Having said that, however, different strokes for different folks.

I thought it was a horrible movie except for the acting of Jack Black. The whole plot was completely retarded. I loved American Pie but this and Boys and Girls sucked. If you liked Loser you might like it however. In my opinion it is a forgettable comedy.

Jack Black is the only reason to watch this film.

I walked (ran actually) out of this one after 30 minutes. This was a major event for me as I have only walked out of one other movie. I like the actors in this film, but this was just sooooo bad on so many levels. To put my opinion in perspective, I liked American Pie, kind of liked Tomcats, and hated Loser.

Rent it if you must, but don't buy this until you do.

This movie was a major disappointment. i'm a huge Jack Black and Tenacious D fan (Kyle Gass has a cameo as the obnoxious guy hitting on Amanda Peet in the bar), but even THE D couldn't save this diaster of a film. It comes nowhere near American Pie or Road Trip. The plot sucks, the characters have no motivation for what they do. This could've been a great one given the cast, but it just goes nowhere.

At least there will be some good ones this year.
