The picture on my Sony 27" Trinitron is tilted ever so slightly. It's not noticable unless there are some kind of horizontally bars near the top or bottom of the picture, like scrolling text, black letterbox bars, etc. It's not real bad, but you know how it is once you notice/realize something annoying like that, you can never seem to shake it.

I moved recently and didn't notice the problem before. I did, however, use all the original packing material for the TV.

Anyway, how should I get it fixed? I've had several bad experiences (bill-wise) with TV repairmen. Ideally, I'd love to just pop the back off the set (however you get it off) and hopefully see some kind of knob that I would just need to adjust slightly, like on my computer monitor.

Thoughts, ideas, cost estimates? :>

Have you tried turning it 90 degrees or moving it to see if it's a magnetic effect? My Wega has a menu option for tilting + or - 5 degrees. Perhaps your set has it in a service menu?

I know what I'm doing and have gone into a set to manually adjust the tilt (don't do it yourself, you can get killed). If that's the only way to do it you could get a repair person to do it fairly inexpensively. Either that, or stick several matchbooks under one of its legs. ;)
