It's been off and on. Sometimes fast, no problems. But often I can't get a new page, have to cancel and refresh. And then very sluggish. Most of the problem seems to be when the ads are trying to be retrieved.

Of course, I'm using Netscape. But Netscape has been running very well until yesterday in case you did something then. Traceroutes and other sites look ok.

I can now tell you that it's IE too. And the traceroutes are still good. Very sporadic.

Aha... The poster formerly known as gotdvd?, who was formerly known as reliquary, who was formerly known as gotdvd?...

What is this, some kind of record attempt for the most number of screen name changes?

Today is just horrible for me; it's taking 2-3 minutes to load each thread. Which means I may just go play in the real world for a little while.

Yeah, what he said. It was running great before 9am, now it's slower than grandma in an uphill marathon.

I did a reboot of the server (which had been up 55 days without a reboot ) but the load jumped right back up when the site came back up. We could have just a boat load of people on the forum today.

along the same lines, can you tell us how you get money, as in can we just click the ads on top or do we have to buy also? If its just clicks, if every person in the Other Forum clicked once say every five posts, you'd be a rich man in no time

Try correlating your heavy server load with views of this and other Salo-related threads: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=115909
