Hey Geoff, how about a survey forum?

I'm all for it. HTF has a poll forum, and I think one here would alleviate the clutter in other. Movie polls, book polls, video game polls, etc. could stay in there respective forums as they don't get as much traffic as other.

Suspended; also need updated email
i still think if you want to see different stuff in the other then POST different stuff in the other
simple as that
the other forum is composed of what everyone posts so if you wanna see more different stuff then just do it
don't be a whinger, be a doer !
or are you guys not upto the challenge ?

Here's an older thread asking for a polls forum:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...threadid=84624
Personally I think we should ban polls and the people who post them all the time!

Please start a polls forum or ban polls. There are a ton of polls everyday now. For every poll that starts, there are 2 or 3 new poll threads started to mock it. It's getting ridiculous and making it a pain in the ass to skim through to find the few interesting threads.

Poll threads are not the problem; what is the problem is people replying to them with one-liner replies. If people actually bothered thinking about their responses and expanding on them a little, as opposed to just typing the first word that comes to mind, I'm sure people wouldn't object to the poll threads half as much.
But then again, that would require people to actually take more than a second formulating a reply, and that in turn would slow down the ridiculous rate of posting, thereby making it take longer for them to get their post count up
