WHY IS IT BLACK AND WHITE???

hi guys i got a sony dvp s535D dvd player, and everything has been workin fine until recently i tried 2 new dvds on it, and they both came out black and white, they arent ment to be in black and white which is the funny thing, one is called COSMOS its like a documentary, can anyone help us out???

You probably have a bad cable or a bad connection.

Make sure that all your video cables have a secure connection. If that doesn't work, replace each cable with a new one.

Are you connecting via S-video cable?

nope, via a/v cables, but the thing is, not all the dvds come out black and white, so i doubt its the connection... its just these new ones i got

If you use the component outputs and have the connections mixed up, the picture will come out black and white. Not sure if you are using the component output, but that's the only thing I could think of.

well yeh they should be pal coz i live in australia but they might be ntsc thats a good point ill check
