That's a feature in VB2, the ability to "subscribe" to threads and/or forums. Not available in this version, and since the new version probably won't be making a return for a while yet, if at all...
You could always just bookmark threads you're interested in...

As <b>TCHJ</b> intimates, you could set up a DVD Talk folder in your browser and in there save the links to the various threads in which you are interested.
Another option is to keep a wordprocessor file on your desktop and save the URLs to that. Also handy for composing posts offline.
And when I want to check up on the threads to which I've recently contributed I just do the obvious thing with the search function.
