"One of the confirmed DVD special features is an episode of the Japanese Transformers series. This episode was sent by Maverick to TheTransformers.Net on timecoded VHS so that we could evaluate it's importance. This is from a series unseen in both the UK and US with animation to rival the movie. Never intended for release in the Western world, it has been dubbed into English by Japanese voice actors, not the Transformers we know and love. Optimus Prime just doesn't have same aura about him.
The episode features a new Transformer named JRX, a Japanese bullet train. JRX consists of three seperate Transformers that combine into a giant robot, a robot who wipes the floor with Six-Gun. The end of the episode sees the arrival of the Headmasters, to a strangely startled Galvatron. At the end of Rebirth (series 5) the Headmasters and Targetmasters are introduced, yet in this episode no one seems to know who they are. A strange timeline indeed, but one with great adventures and excitement.
TheTransformers.Net helps produce the DVD!
This Tuesday, Daz Jamieson of TheTransformers.Net will travel down to Maverick in Oxford to oversee the project. They want us to look at what they've got, and advise them on the best way to treat to DVD release. We'll give you a full report on what we see, and what will become of the DVD. We're naturally very excited about this, Maverick asked us because they want to be certain of getting the release right in the fan's opinion"
Wow! can't wait for this one.

Bear in mind that the list of extras for the disc is very, very tentative...more wishful thinking at this point than anything else. There's a potentially huge gap between what they'd like to include and what they actually can/will...
