While it's great that I finally own Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Space Jam in anamorphic widescreen, it was disappointing to open up my package from DVDZone2 and see them in snapper crappers. Are there a lot of French releases in snappers or is this by chance because they are older releases. Hopefully they've stopped doing this since. Anyone know? I'm picky about my DVDs and I'm picky about my cases.

...both are WARNER releases, I assume? Everyone else in Europe uses Amaray (or Amaray-type) or Alpha cases, or the dreaded (because they're made of very brittle plastic that breaks very easily) 'Super-Jewel Case' (like some made-in-USA DVD-Audio discs!...)
