I saw this movie last weekend and I've got to own it on DVD. I know that the only version on the market now is the region 3. Has anyone heard anything about the release of a region free or region 1? I have a feeling this movie is going to become another Crouching Tiger phenomenon.

There are a number of people on a few different forums (www.asiandvdguide.com is one of them) who are warning people away from the region 3 release. Apparently, although the cover of the DVD claims to be anamorphic widescreen, the region 3 Time and Tide DVD is in fact only full screen. A lot of people, including me, ended up canceling their orders for this DVD.
It's kind of a pricey title for them to not even bother letterboxing it.
If you really want to own it, I advise that you pick up the VCD version. It's full screen too, but it's cheaper, and you were looking for all-region anyway.
