PAL and NTSC

Hi folk! I, German, am courious:

Are all US-TV's combatible with PAL?

Is the picture quality of PAL in USA better than NTSC?

Are codefree DVD Players in USA expensive?

How much do you pay to get codefree for your DVD Player in average?

No TV's here support PAL. Codefree players are pretty rare here, but there are some very cheap ones that either come codefree (rare now, but I got one for $149 a year ago) or can have their firmware changed, and more expensive ones that get modified by companies that do that kind of work. The computer is really the best way to handle PAL/NTSC and codefree.
