Re: Sailor Moon Licensed in North America

About damn time. Still, that's four months away; I was half expecting it to be a little sooner. Was any reason ever given as to why there was a huge delay between the R pt 2 and S pt 1 releases?

Re: Sailor Moon Licensed in North America

Has Sailor Stars been released in any form in the U.S. yet? I looked it up on Amazon and there was nothing official available on disc. When I Googled it, all I got was an old press release from December 2015. Is any streaming service showing it as an official U.S. release?

I found a subbed DVD box set at my Japanese video store, but it appeared to be made from a fan sub. Not great quality and not an official release at all.

Sailor Stars hasn't been released on disc yet, but we're getting there. I don't know about the streaming services; I thought Hulu said they had it around the time the season 1 sets were released, but I could be mistaken. Since Viz just released S pt. 2, I don't expect a disc release of Stars until at least late 2018/early 2019, if they stick to two releases per year.

Re: Sailor Moon Licensed in North America

We watched some of this during its 90s run when we were younger but haven’t revisited it since then. I’m slightly interested in these but I’d like to find somewhere to rewatch it to see how it holds up.

I'm pretty sure it's on Hulu, though I doubt it's the remastered version (if they did get new masters)

Re: Sailor Moon Licensed in North America

It's still streaming on Hulu https://www.hulu.com/series/sailor-m...4-a69280ca0438. I think Hulu still have exclusive streaming rights for the original TV series.

VIZ has not advertised this re-release as remastered version for some reason.
