'500 Essential Anime Movies - The Ultimate Guide' (Book)
Saw this over at Barnes and Nobles this morning and have to give a shout out to this book, since it's chock full of anime titles I haven't heard and the colourful pics really make this a stand out 'essential' book to ad to one's library. As for the number #1 title: can you guess, it's really not that hard to guess

First of all, the book suggest 500 or so "anime" movies (some can be seen as animation only releases). The only criteria is that it's in English. It can be a movie, OVA, hentai, legal foreign releases (UK,...). There is not a technical ranking. They list a top 10 of each category and they suggest some of the best of the rest. I have a couple of books by Helen McCarthy - one on Anime in general, and another more general Anime guide. Given all the stuff that's come out since the latter was publised, I'm definitely interested in this.
