They also announced the license for the movie placed in the Stand Alone Complex universe, Ghost in the Shell – Solid State Society."
- "Bandai has acquired the license to the 26-episode anime series .hack//Roots... The series is being pushed for TV at the end of 2006 and DVD in 2007."
- Licensing of live-action Cutey Honey movie.

I've totally gotten into Anime pretty recently after working in an industry the past year where it is practically mandatory. The irony is that I've ran a comic book store for years that has sold the stuff & I never touched a thing when I could have gotten it for free, & I had a roomate that had a huge collection & all I did was make fun of him.

I don't have much right now but I've seen a lot. I get sent a lot of recent stuff (Bleach, Ergo Proxy) but I can't keep up with the new stuff, I'm just into buy complete sets & watching them that way. Right now I have

That's pretty much it. There is soooooo much I can't wait to get, I don't even know where to go next. I'm thinking of getting the X-Remix set that comes out this week.

Welcome to the anime club. Be prepared to go broke. You'll want to get Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu[hopefully a thinpak will be coming out soon]. Full Metal Panic-2nd Raid Volume 1 should come out on October 3. As for X-Remix, I believe that Rightstuf has it as part of their weekly specials for $79.99.

Since you liked Azumanga, I will assume that you don't mind shoujo shows. Some thinpaks that I would definitely recommend are SuperGALS! Ironclad Collection[Rightstuf is going to release Season 2 without a dub on December1], Pretear and the show that I just completed, Kaleido Stage-Amazing Collection.

Could someone help me with the name of a show? I saw it on Cartoon Network years ago so it's kind of hard to remember, but there was a kid whose father died and after that his ghost was a character in the show.

My advice would be to get the version from the middle link, it is the 'cut' version as opposed to the Unrated and Director's Cut's from the other 2 links. I have both the DC and Cut versions and the only difference is the DC includes some pretty hardcore sex which i think the movie is better off without.

Man, this place certainly does need an Anime subforum. For one, I hope I can get an answer to this odd experience I just had. I came across the OOP Rayearth movie at a Borders. Brand new and sealed! I was happy to get it, as it's a rare find and now starting to go for some money, but when I opened it I was confront ed with a CD by Paul Okenfold called ‘Swordfish.’ WTF?! Is Sire records associated at all with Manga DVDs? How could this happen? Has this happened to anyone that has purchased this DVD or any DVD from Manga?

I have a question about R.O.D. the T.V. My wife and I watched the OVA, and now we're on about Ep 13 or so of the TV series. We were looking thru some of the extras and it really talks about the relationship between

Yomiko and Nenene. It goes on and on about those details being in the OVA, but I thought that was only in the manga and novels? We watched all three eps of the OVA, but we don't recall seeing Nenene at all.

Have we missed a DVD of something?

In the very beginning of the OVA, Yomiko is shown in her apartment, and there are a lot of little sticky notes with reminders on them. These are signed "nenene" and are obviously from Nenene, but the Manga video translators, apparently not knowing the connection (since the character doesn't actually appear in the OAV) translated it as "up, up, up."

Other than that, you're right, the relationship is only explored in the manga and novels, but other things in the OAV are of great importance to the plot of the TV series.
