Warner Archive sales
WBshop.com is having a sale on 80s and 90s Warner Archive DVD titles. They are 25% off. Plus, I used a coupon code THESEARCH for an additional 20% off.
I purchased Yogi's First Christmas and Rankin-Bass' The Flight of the Dragons. It ended up being $11.96 each ($23.92 total) plus free shipping.

Re: Warner Archive sales
Got my first order of Archive titles in yesterday and watched Tarzan's Greatest Adventure last night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend TGA. The transfer and compression/encoding on that film is as good as possibly can be expected given the problematical elements. And it's a great movie to boot.
I also received Under The Rainbow which, being an 80's movie, was on sale.
It looks like crap with noticeable compression artifacts in every frame as well as some edge ringing. A very ugly looking image. Even at the 'sale' price I feel burned.
I would like to get Carny, along with a few golden age titles, but after UTR I'm hesitant to throw more money at these on what is a crap shoot.

How do you get free shipping, do you have to order a certain amount, or is there an additional coupon code for that?
I tried to order just Yogi's First Christmas, but shipping was $5.

Re: Warner Archive sales
I was surprised I got free shipping, because it says free shipping for all orders over $30 on the main page. At full price, the two titles are $19.95 each, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. I originally was going to get Gremlins 2 with them to put me over $30, but in the check out it said $5 dollars for shipping Gremlins 2, but free shipping on the other two, so I dumped Gremlins 2.

Re: Warner Archive sales
Had no idea "Flight of Dragons" was available from Warner Archives. Got that, plus "Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" (which I'd also not realised was now available).
Thanks for the tip!

Re: Warner Archive sales
I really want to get Urgh! A Music War, but the shipping kills the deal:
Unit Price: $19.95
Promotion: -$3.99
Shipping: $5.00
Total Price: $20.96
Not for a DVD-R, thank you.

Re: Warner Archive sales
Some great titles in there! I only picked up Yogi's First Christmas & Bad Ronald since I was getting the same glitch another poster mentioned above on other titles (adding $2 after applying code ). Sucks 'cause I really wanted Airborne and Razorback

Wow, Angus, Doc Savage, Under the Rainbow, All the Marbles...some really hard to find titles are showing up in this Archive series. I'd buy all of those if I had any dough.

Re: Warner Archive sales
THESEARCH worked for me on Friday. Maybe, they weren't supposed to give more credit on items and caught their error on Saturday. The two titles or more for free shipping makes sense, since the front page says free shipping on orders of $30.00 or more. I got two titles in The Flight of the Dragons and Yogi's First Christmas.

Re: Warner Archive sales
I placed an order with my Insider Rewards login and got the 25% off prices but didn't bother to add the THESEARCH code, based on results posted here of it not working with the other discount. I was able to use the CABINWB code to get $5.00 more off though and got free shipping. Too bad they had to tack on sales tax or else it would have been under $50, but at least I got 4% cashback from affiliate links.

Re: Warner Archive sales
Warner Archive is having their biggest sale yet on most Archive titles, to wit:
Over 380 Movies Reduced to $14.95 or Pick 10 DVDs for $99.95!
(Multi-disc sets and Value Packs aren't included)
Plus shipping is free on all Archive orders.
The sale ends on November 30.
BTW - you get the $14.95 price as you put titles in your cart. When you reach ten titles the prices change to $10 each. HOWEVER, if you sign into an Insider Rewards account all the prices revert to $14.95, even though you have 10 in the cart. The rewards discount overrides the sale pricing.
My solution - I cleared my browser of any WB cookies, put ten titles in my cart, and then during checkout I registered using a different email address. A bit annoying, I know, but the order went through @ $99.95!

I'm having the same issue: 10 items in the cart, all for 14.95, and at checkout the total is 150 instead of 100. Maybe they're still updating all the info on their site.

That doesn't make any sense. Why should you have to do that? It doesn't say anything about new customers only.
