BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
BJ's almost always has instant rebates on new titles for a week or so when they're first released. They'll also do even bigger rebates several weeks after that before they pull the title off the shelf. Again, BJ's is east-coast-only (being most prominent in the New England area), so YMMV. Most clubs have the same deals going on at the same time because the discounts come down from corporate. Post up and happy hunting!

Re: General Wholesale Club DVD Deals
In their new Summer Journals (available in clubs), BJ's Club has a set of three coupons for $5 off new titles:
-$5 any 1 of the following titles
-$10 any 2 of the following titles
-$15 any 3 of the following titles
1) Bedtime Stories
2) Yes Man
3) Frost/Nixon (also has $3 off instant rebate through 04/26, bringing it down to $10.99 with the coupon)
4) Bride Wars
5) Hotel for Dogs
6) He's Just Not That Into You
7) Last Chance Harvey
8) The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
9) Taken
10) Valkyrie
11) Paul Blart: Mall Cop
12) Confessions of a Shopaholic
13) Gran Torino
14) Madea Goes to Jail
15) Defiance
So, basically $5 any of the above titles. You can always grab multiple journals if you need additional coupons, which are good 04/22 - 06/20. There's also a $5 instant rebate thru 04/26 on The Tale of Despereaux, bringing it down to $13.99. Again, they usually do at least a $2 or $3 instant rebate on new titles when they're first released, so you can probably double-up on many of these as they're released.

Good idea OP.I never heard of BJ's,but I'm on the west coast.
And For some reason there is no Sam's club in my state of Oregon(no sales tax)
But the 2 states next to me have Sam's club.

Re: General Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Personally, I prefer separate threads for the various wholesale clubs as I could care less about BJ's or Sam's club, for example. Throwing them together under one umbrella, why not do the same with "General Discount chain DVD deals", lumping Walmart in with Target, etc? They're different stores with different deals, and it makes it more difficult to find information when you have to wade through threads cluttered with information about several different stores.
Vive la difference, I say!

I'll agree. I would imagine that very few people have a membership to more than one club at a time.
Edit to add: If you agree OP, maybe ask a mod to change the thread title to BJ Wholesale Club deals.

Re: General Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Roger that. I'll PM pilot again. And you'd be surprised about folks having multiple memberships. Most people who shop at BJ's also have at least one or the other of Sam's or CostCo, and quite a few have all three. But I see your point.

Re: General Wholesale Club DVD Deals
I thought this thread was for a club named General Wholesale...I hadn't heard of that one.
We did have memberships at both BJ's and Sam's when we lived close to both--now the closest Sam's is about 25 miles away, and BJ's is about 7 and is in one of the biggest shopping corridors in the area (so we go there up to once or twice a week anyway).
I'll keep an eye out and share any deals I find there.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Here's a look at their $5, $10 and $15 coupon ad. Only the BDs are pictured, but you can see all the titles and release dates. I will try to find and post all the original prices.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
They occasionally have really good coupons coupled with solid prices. They tend to get WB boxsets around certain holidays (Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.) for 18.99 or so and last year they had $5 off any dvd 18.99+. So, the boxsets were 13.99. I gladly stocked up.
I look forward to this thread being updated regularly. I'm in there every now and then and will try to contribute.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Season One of AMC's "Breaking Bad" has a $10 instant rebate through 04/30. It's priced at $27.99, so the instant rebate brings it down to $17.99.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
My dad just got back from a BJ's warehouse and Hotel For Dogs was listed at $16.99 with a $2 instant rebate
(through Sunday, May 3) so subtract the $5 off with the coupon in the book and it goes for $9.99 before tax.

$18.99 with a $2 instant rebate (through Sunday, May 3 as stated above) so $16.99 and then subtract the
$5 off coupon and its $11.99 before tax. Still a good deal for a first week release. Got it for one of my cousins
kids as a get well present as she is having minor surgery next week.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
After their instant rebate and coupon, I walked out of there with Taken on blu-ray for $19. Bride Wars on DVD would have been $10 after coupon. I can't remember if anything else looked good this week.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
They have the Underworld Trilogy priced at $33.99 with a $6 instant rebate, bringing it down to $27.99 through 05/17. The Taken DVD is $18.99 with a $2 instant rebate through 05/17. If you throw in the $5 coupon from the Summer Journal, price is $11.99. Same deal for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, except no coupon, so $16.99 for the DVD.
