Re: vBulletin 4.0?

Internet Brands owns both DVD Talk and vBulletin Solutions, so I don't think that'll be a problem.

While we don't want to put a time table on it, you can be fairly certain that an upgrade is imminent.

Please don't rush it.

I've been through the nightmare of 'the latest vB' and a large forum.

Let some other people suffer the 'let's upgrade on release day!' woes.

Yes, it's taken them about 2 days so far!

At least now they'll be able to mark spammers as banned. You couldn't tell before.

It is about time. A lot of good info but I hated the format.

IB already said he didn't want to put a timetable on it, so I guess it depends on your definition of "imminent".

FWIW, I don't think bumping the thread will get it done any faster.

Just to calm your nerves, our team has done an upgrade from 3.7 to 4.0 Alpha and Beta, about three different times with a forum with 9.5 million posts. We've had absolutely no problem and we've got the total upgrade time down to 45 minutes. We've seriously got the best team of vB people here. In fact, they're so good that they keep getting taken away to do work for the official vB dev team.
